Our analysis
Apps y webs desde cero a experto: Angular - Ionic - Firebase is a broad course for anyone who wants to build a complete mobile and web application from a single codebase. We would recommend it mainly for its central project, an ordering app with an admin panel, real-time delivery tracking and store publishing, which brings together in one case many pieces that are usually learned separately.
Who it is for
- People who want to launch an app for Android, iOS and the web without maintaining three separate projects.
- Entrepreneurs or freelancers who need a ready-made backend without running their own servers.
- Developers who know some Angular and want to move into mobile with Ionic.
What it covers
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals before getting into Angular.
- Angular as the application framework and Ionic for building mobile interfaces.
- Firebase: Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Functions, Storage, Hosting and Google Analytics.
- Sign-in with Google and Apple, plus admin panels.
- Google Maps integration, real-time tracking and push notifications.
- Publishing to Google Play and the App Store, and deploying to the web.
What to keep in mind
- The course is taught in Spanish.
- It covers many technologies, so depth in each one is lower than in a dedicated course; Angular in particular is worth reinforcing separately.
- Publishing to the stores has costs and requirements outside the course: developer accounts on Google Play and Apple, and building for iOS normally requires a Mac.
- Some Firebase features, such as Cloud Functions, require the pay-as-you-go plan; review costs before taking a project to production.
- Firestore is a document database, not a relational one; if you later work with SQL databases, you will need to learn that model separately.
Where it fits in a path
Although the course reviews HTML, CSS and JavaScript, you will do better if you arrive having completed the first stage of the "Web developer roadmap". To understand Angular in more detail, complement it with "How to learn Angular". After this course, learning SQL with "How to learn SQL from scratch" opens the door to backends that do not depend on Firebase, and if you are interested in cloud platforms beyond Google, the "AWS Cloud Practitioner certification" guide is a good next step.
