What TintoPOS is
TintoPOS is a web-based point-of-sale and inventory platform built by TintoDev, a software engineering firm based in Barranquilla, Colombia. It brings together counter sales, stock by warehouse, cash sessions, supplier purchasing, customers and receivables in a single system, with multiple locations under one account.
It runs in the browser, on a computer or a tablet, with nothing to install.
When your business lives in four different places
In most shops the information is scattered: sales in the register, stock in a notebook or a spreadsheet, customer debts on a pad, and supplier orders buried in chat threads. Each part works on its own, and none of them knows about the others.
So at the end of the month it is hard to say what actually sold, what is left in the warehouse, which products earned the most, or who owes you and since when. And when something has run out, you usually find out with a customer standing in front of you.
One connected operation, from purchase to report
In TintoPOS each step feeds the next one. Nothing has to be copied between systems, and nothing has to be reconciled at the end of the day.
Point of sale and cash
Every sale takes stock down right away and counts towards the shift. At closing you are only asked for the cash that actually went into the drawer: card and transfer payments don't count.
Customers and receivables
Sell on credit and the sale becomes an open balance under that customer's name. Payments are applied against it, and you can always see who owes you and for how long.
Reports
Because it all came from the same operation, the numbers don't have to be assembled: they are already there. What sold, what earned, what moves and what has been sitting still for months.

Scan the barcode, take cash, card and transfer on the same sale, and print the receipt. Keyboard shortcuts let you sell without leaving the scanner.
Sales and returns
Discounts per item or on the total, held sales so you can serve the next person, and returns of a whole sale or just a few units.
Inventory
Stock by warehouse, the movement history of any product, transfers between warehouses, and physical counts to settle differences.
Cash
Open and close the shift, record cash in and out, and see the difference straight away when it doesn't balance.
Purchasing
Purchase orders where whoever requests isn't whoever approves, deliveries received in parts, and returns to the supplier.
Customers
A record for each customer, and commercial groups such as wholesale, VIP or distributor, each with their own terms.
Suppliers
Who you buy from, what you've bought, and what you still owe.
Receivables
Credit sales with partial payments, a balance per customer, and a report showing who owes you and how many days it has been.
Pricing and promotions
Price lists per customer or location, volume pricing, a floor price nobody can go under, promotions and coupons.

Your data stays yours

Everyone does their own job
You decide what each user can do. A cashier sells and closes their shift; they have no reason to change prices or see margins. And the limit is enforced on the server, not by hiding buttons.
There's a record of who did what
Important changes are logged with who made them and when, and you can look them up when something doesn't add up.
You can't sell what isn't there
If two registers try to sell the last unit at the same moment, only one of them can. Stock doesn't go negative because of a coincidence.
A payment is never taken twice
If the connection drops right after a sale goes through, retrying brings back that same sale instead of creating a second one.

TintoPOS is TintoDev's own product, not a tool we resell. We design it, build it and maintain it ourselves, with the same team that builds custom platforms for other companies.
That has a practical consequence: when something doesn't fit, there is someone who can go and look at the code. And if your operation needs rules, integrations or flows that an off-the-shelf product doesn't cover, that's a conversation we can have too.

Common questions
What do I need to start using TintoPOS?
A browser. TintoPOS runs in the browser on a computer or a tablet, with no software to install. Once your access is open, you add your location and warehouse, load your products, and you can make your first sale.
Does it work if I have more than one store?
Yes. You can run several locations and several registers from one account, with their own warehouses and transfers of stock between them. Each user only sees and does what you allow.
Can I bring my products over from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Products, customers, suppliers, prices and opening stock can all be imported from Excel files, so you don't have to type the whole catalogue in.
Can I control what each employee can do?
Yes. You define roles and decide what each person can do: sell, receive goods, change prices, see reports. Important changes are also logged, with who made them and when.
